Every first Saturday in March, the Red Stick Fly Fishers host our annual Red Stick Day "conclave" - a celebration of fly fishing. Whether beginner or expert, there's something for everyone!

Activities include:
- Programs
- Fly Tying Demonstrations
- Casting Demonstrations
- Beginner Seminar
- Retailers
- Kayak and Canoe demos
- Fishing on premises
- Free refreshments
- Jambalaya lunch available (lunch ticket $8)

** Please note that again for 2018 our location will be at Perkins Community Park.  Our traditional event location - LDWF Waddill Outdoors Education Center - suffered serious damage from the Flood of August 2016 and is still in repair. **

Fly tying begins at 9:00am and continues through the day. Some of the region's top fly tiers will be on hand,

There's free refreshments during the day. A jambalaya lunch with salad for $8 will be available. Then there's the big raffle for flies, tackle, equipment, and other items. Proceeds from the raffle help pay expenses for this event, as well as support club conservation and education projects.

Casting Instructors

Roger del Rio – A founding member of RSFF, and a Federation of Fly Fishers (IFFF) Certified Casting Instructor. He's been fly fishing saltwater for nearly 30 years! Roger will cover casting basics and casting instruction.
