Speakers and Programs

Ian Huang

Ian is the Fishing Manager at Orvis in Baton Rouge. Originally from Texas, his interest in fly fishing blossomed while living in Atlanta and fishing the numerous north Georgia trout waters.  Ian’s expertise is knowing where, when, and how to fish for different species of fish. His talk will include things such as where to go, best time of year to fish for different fish species as well as questions to ask lodges and guides. In addition, what gear you will need and don’t need for different locations. Ian leads fishing trips to places such as Montana, Belize, and Alaska for Orvis.

Jim Davis

Jim is a former guide and noted trout fishermen on the Holston River in Tennessee and surrounding tailwaters. Jim has hosted such famed fly anglers as Lefty Krey, Joan Wulff, and Bob Clouser at his cabin on the Holston. Jim will share his knowledge on trout fishing and has endless fishing stories to tell.

Vic Tedesco M.D.

When it comes to targeting big speckled trout on the fly, Vic is a living legend!  Most recently, he was highlighted in Louisiana Sportsman magazine where he shared a few of his secrets for fishing the pits between Leesville and Grand Isle. He is listed on 25 fly-fishing state records and has won awards from the Louisiana Outdoor Writers Association for "Fish of the Year" as well as recognition from CCA and other groups for most tagged fish. Vic will tell us where to go and how to catch the huge speckled trout that he catches every year.

Jay Clark

Jay is a Fly Fishers International (FFI) Master Casting Instructor and former member of the San Francisco Fishing and Casting Club.
